Have you ever been to a website known as bored.com? I hadn't been there since I was a little kid, but today I decided to venture there, as I had obviously been grasped by boredom's grip. This is a remarkable site filled with tons of games, puzzles, quizzes, and tons of possible things to do for a person with no life or aspirations. I am glad to say that I am not referring to myself. I consider myself someone with a lot to work and live for. Anyway, there's a puzzle game on this site known as gem swap. In this game there's a box filled with small gems of different shapes and colors, but some of the gems match each other. The point of the game is to try to get three or more gems in a row, at which point those gems will disappear and the one's above will fall down and the box will fill up again. This is done by clicking on one gem and then clicking on one directly adjacent to it to get them to switch places. However you must create three in a row or more with each move you make. It's a fun little game for when you're bored, but it can also become very frustrating and addictive if you're not careful. I began playing this game because I remembered playing it when I was a little girl. Every time I began a new game I was just sure I would get the top score this time; it didn't even occur to me that those top scores are probably held by the same type of people I described before, the ones with no lives. I tried my best, but continuously failed. At the time it meant everything for me to just make one more move. I played until my eyes hurt, as well as my head. It was then that I checked the time and saw that I had so easily wasted almost three hours of my precious time playing a pointless game that will take me almost nowhere in life. Maybe someday I'll be trying to get ahead in the world, and meet a superior that has an extreme love for this game, but I seriously doubt that someone who has clearly done something with his/her life has spent even as much time as I did today on such a pointless task.
Anyway, If you'd like to know about my most awesome Valentine's day; that is going to be my next topic of discussion.
This was my very first Valentine's Day with a boyfriend! The two just never seemed to fall at the same time before. I'm in the longest, and most wonderful, relationship I've ever been in. My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over ten months now, and we're happier together than when we began. We began dating near the end of my senior year in high school, and have been dating since.(That makes me a freshman in college
Well, Valentine's Day was about as picture perfect as anyone could imagine it to be! Around noon we went to watch our high school showchoir at a competition. They were absolutely fantastic! I'm a little sad to say that they were better then we were last year, but I'm also extremely glad they are as well! Their sound was just beautiful, and their moves were sharp and surprisingly clean for their first run out. They were awesome! We found them after the show and were repeatedly attacked by old friends who had been apparently starved for affection, and we couldn't wait to hug them back! Then we rushed off to the RAM for linner (Lunch/Dinner). It was delicious! my bf had a coupon so he got my meal free! I had steak, yummmm! Next we had to make our way back to our campus to see a play! We saw "The Importance of Being Earnest." By the way, if you've never seen or read this play you definitely should. It was hilarious! The play ended a little after 10:00 and we went to Blockbuster and I picked out one of my favorite chickflicks to watch, "You've Got Mail," and he got to pick out a movie he wanted to watch as well. In the checkout line we grabbed two half-pints of icecream, one for each of us, and headed back to his dorm to commense movie watching! We only watched "You've Got Mail" because I had a vocal competition the next day and needed to get some sleep, but I came back over after my competition and we watched "Uncle Buck," the movie he picked out. It was really funny! I highly recommend it. Anyway, it was a fantastic and romantic Valentine's Day! We had to stop our romantic movie halfway through so he could go pick up his drunk roommate, but when they got back his roommate just passed out, and wasn't bothered by us finishing our movie while he was sleeping. All in all it was a perfect day! =) <3
