  • Bored?

Have you ever been to a website known as bored.com?  I hadn't been there since I was a little kid, but today I decided to venture there, as I had obviously been grasped by boredom's grip.  This is a remarkable site filled with tons of games, puzzles, quizzes, and tons of possible things to do for a person with no life or aspirations.  I am glad to say that I am not referring to myself.  I consider myself someone with a lot to work and live for.  Anyway, there's a puzzle game on this site known as gem swap.  In this game there's a box filled with small gems of different shapes and colors, but some of the gems match each other.  The point of the game is to try to get three or more gems in a row, at which point those gems will disappear and the one's above will fall down and the box will fill up again.  This is done by clicking on one gem and then clicking on one directly adjacent to it to get them to switch places.  However you must create three in a row or more with each move you make.  It's a fun little game for when you're bored, but it can also become very frustrating and addictive if you're not careful.  I began playing this game because I remembered playing it when I was a little girl.  Every time I began a new game I was just sure I would get the top score this time; it didn't even occur to me that those top scores are probably held by the same type of people I described before, the ones with no lives.  I tried my best, but continuously failed.  At the time it meant everything for me to just make one more move.  I played until my eyes hurt, as well as my head.  It was then that I checked the time and saw that I had so easily wasted almost three hours of my precious time playing a pointless game that will take me almost nowhere in life.  Maybe someday I'll be trying to get ahead in the world, and meet a superior that has an extreme love for this game, but I seriously doubt that someone who has clearly done something with his/her life has spent even as much time as I did today on such a pointless task.

Anyway,  If you'd like to know about my most awesome Valentine's day; that is going to be my next topic of discussion.

This was my very first Valentine's Day with a boyfriend!  The two just never seemed to fall at the same time before.  I'm in the longest, and most wonderful, relationship I've ever been in.  My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over ten months now, and we're happier together than when we began.  We began dating near the end of my senior year in high school, and have been dating since.(That makes me a freshman in college   Well, Valentine's Day was about as picture perfect as anyone could imagine it to be!  Around noon we went to watch our high school showchoir at a competition.  They were absolutely fantastic!  I'm a little sad to say that they were better then we were last year, but I'm also extremely glad they are as well!  Their sound was just beautiful, and their moves were sharp and surprisingly clean for their first run out.  They were awesome!  We found them after the show and  were repeatedly attacked by old friends who had been apparently starved for affection, and we couldn't wait to hug them back!  Then we rushed off to the RAM for linner (Lunch/Dinner).  It was delicious!  my bf had a coupon so he got my meal free!  I had steak, yummmm!  Next we had to make our way back to our campus to see a play!  We saw "The Importance of Being Earnest."  By the way, if you've never seen or read this play you definitely should.  It was hilarious!  The play ended a little after 10:00 and we went to Blockbuster and I picked out one of my favorite chickflicks to watch, "You've Got Mail," and he got to pick out a movie he wanted  to watch as well.  In the checkout line we grabbed two half-pints of icecream, one for each of us, and headed back to his dorm to commense movie watching!  We only watched "You've Got Mail" because I had a vocal competition the next day and needed to get some sleep, but I came back over after my competition and we watched "Uncle Buck," the movie he picked out.  It was really funny!  I highly recommend it.  Anyway, it was a fantastic and romantic Valentine's Day!  We had to stop our romantic movie halfway through so he could go pick up his drunk roommate, but when they got back his roommate just passed out, and wasn't bothered by us finishing our movie while he was sleeping.  All in all it was a perfect day!  =)  <3

  • Math (yuck) and THE HORRID STAIN!

There are not a lot of people in this world who dislike math homework the way I do.  College math, I'll admit, is not near as difficult as High School.  My major is vocal performance; I'm going to be an opera singer!  Anyway, math homework is just a ton of busy work that nobody wants to do anyway!  Grrrrrrr...  I spend so much time going over my notes just trying to remember what I learned last class, and then I have to take the time to apply that knowledge over and over again until it's been burned into my cranium.  In the end it doesn't even matter because all information I've acquired on the subject will simply roll out of my head and out the door after my next test, in order to make room for the next useless information to occupy my thoughts.  Ahhhhhh!  As I am obviously procrastinating from my math homework right now, I'll talk about something a little more interesting.  My roommate and I are staying up all night doing our laundry and drinking coffee!  The exciting life of a college student, I know.  The laundry was definitely overdue though.  The reason for this is; yesterday we finally decided to remove some of my roommate's junk off the futon.  You have to understand that my roommates kind of a slob, kind of being an understatement.  Don't worry, if she's reading this right now she already knows it.  Our futon, as well as our floor, is absolutely covered with blankets, clothes, food, (etc.).  We finally decided to move some of this stuff off of the futon to created space, something we hadn't done in a long time.  That's when we discovered the HORRID STAIN.  It was a milk stain, that had been there a couple of days.  There was so much stuff on top of it that we hadn't noticed the smell until then, and DID it SMELL!  The smell quickly permeated the entire room, filling our noses with a stench so pungent I could hardly stand being in the room!  My roommate tried to wash it by putting laundry detergent and water on it and scrubbing, but that obviously didn't do the trick so we took the cover off and tonight we are washing it!  Hurray!  It's a good thing the weather's been slightly warmer because we've had the window open the last two days.  YAY for laundry day (night)!  =)

  • A Warm Day in February!

Today was such an amazingly beautiful day!  This morning as I surfaced from the depths of my pillow and began my day just minutes before I had to fly out the door to class.  Math was... math, and english was english.  My next destination was choir.  That's the most difficult challenge of all.  I must catch a shuttle in order to make choir on time.  This is a very hard task.  The shuttle comes already filled to the brim.  There are maybe a couple spots open.  I look around at the overly crowded sidewalk and begin to understand how slim my chances really are.  The shuttle comes, and I do everything possible to make my way through the crowds of people who's minds are whirling with thoughts of attacking the next person who gets on that shuttle.  After the shuttle leaves me standing on the sidewalk with the rest of the rejects, I begin walking as quickly as I can in order to get to choir.  I show up late, of course, and join everybody in warm-ups.  I get a couple glares, but other than that I'm ok.  We sing beautifully and then are let go for lunch!  I LOVE LUNCH!  I meet my incredibly charming prince and we make our way through the lines to attain sustenance.  We then devoir our meals with the rage of hungry beasts!  Yay lunch!  Well, my knight in shining armor just came to me from my window!  I shall go and live my life!!!!!!!!!!  <3  =D

  • Youtube & "Tales of Charlie Brown and the Zingerpuff Named Jeanette"

I'm kind of super excited because I just posted my very first youtube video and then I posted another one right after it!  It was pretty fun!  I can't believe I've gone so long never knowing such incredible pleasure as posting a yotube blog.  I hope none of you go your whole life never knowing that feeling of when you watch ur first video and realize how stupid you look on your computer.  it's pretty darn amazing if I do say so myself.  I'm sitting next to my roomate right now and we're both playing internet.  She's one cool banananana... so says some crazy guy she knows.  We like to sit alone in our room at 2:44 in the morning in dresses.  It's sad that we look so gorgeous and have no one to share it with.  College is awesome that way.  I'm sort of in the mood to say awesome a lot so if you get annoyed I apologize.  I have a really awesome Little Mermaid Comforter.  It's actually quite comfortable as, I suppose, the name would suggest.  I don't want to get up and go to Speech class tomorrow, but I must.  "It is my destiny!!!!!!!!"  Cried Ralph the great white whale.  He flew high above the moon with his gleaming tale flopping up and down through the gentle whisps of cumulous clouds.  Just then Charlie Browns first cousin, Jeanette, came rushing through the clouds scattering water accumulation in all directions!  Ralph was tossed through the vapors and quickly fell to the salty sea below.  JEANETTE soared through the sky on a flying squirrel, found in the lands of Aramadia Koof.  This was a magic flying squirrel that would eventually take Jeanette to a magical ocean where the water's always pink and purple, but the squirrel had made a grave error in it's flight plan by not taking into account Ralph's daily flight through the hills of Bemarinon and past the moon to the planet Sphmirntinkoff.  Instead of taking Jeanette to the magical oceans of Bloomingflower the squirrel dropped her in an effort to avoid the the UFT's (Undignified Flying Tinkersgoogens).  Jeanette fell through the air paralyzed with fear.  She wondered if she'd ever get to see her kitten Jinglepuff again!  Pooor Jeanette.  JUST THEN!  Jeanette was snatched out of the air by a Raguntoof, also known as the most dangerous creatures to ever exist!!!  Death by falling into the great salty sea and being consumed by Ralph and Alph (Ralphs sister) and spit across the space time continuim would've been far more preferrable to whatever the Raguntoof would do to her!  POOOORR JEANETTE!  WHAT WILL SHE DO?!!!  Find out next time on "Tales of Charlie Brown and the Zingerpuff Named Jeanette," and thanks for reading.

  • Banana's?

    Hello everyone!

I'm new.  Well actually I had an account a really long time ago when I was a youngin (like 6 yrs ago).  It's about 3:50 AM, and I decided I missed having a xanga account so I created a new one.  I don't think any of my friends have one anymore so I'm sure none of you know or care who I am.  That's ok, but if by some freak chance you're the only person reading this, which you probably are, then Hello.  it's really late/early and my classes start in only a few hours.  I'm a freshman in college by the way.  I'm 18 and I'm still tired, but I don't really feel like sleeping.  I'm a little stressed and my boyfriend is a little mad at me right now.  I don't really blame him though.  I acted kind of self-ish today.

He was feeling slightly depressed and he called me for a little cheering up I suppose.  I, of course, quickly turned the conversation into being all about me instead of paying any attention to him.  I'm not always the best gf.  I felt like such a jerk when I realized how I sounded.  I was talking to him as if he were a child just waiting to be blessed by my abundant wisdom...yeah right.  Just when I began to apologize, my phone died (go figure).  So I got back to my dorm at like midnight and didn't want to try calling him so instead I began to think of a good punishment for myself.  I decided to write lines.  Over and over I wrote that I was a cocky b@#*% and that I should learn to put others before me.  (I usually never cuss...I'm not so sure it's a sin but I think it's rude and just doesn't set a good christian example.  I don't like it when peeps think of christians as hippocritical... we're not all that way).  Anyway this was all done privately so that no one would know I wrote that except for me and now all of you.  I felt pretty blue after that so at about 2 in the morning I sent a semi-lengthy apology to his facebook inbox.

Other than that my day's been decent.  I've been really busy taking 18 hours.  I'm a vocal performance major w/ a sort of oboe performance minor, but that's another story for another morning that I feel the need to write.  I have a lot of hw and practicing to do and I've gotten about 3 hours of sleep per night which I'm not increasing by typing right now.

My roomate's passed out on the futon in our room, I think she decided it's more comfy than her bed, but whatever.  Even Kyle, our pet fish, is sleeping soundly in his tiny tank.

We live next door to our RA and she's pretty cool, but I'm not so sure she likes us all that well.  I think it's cause we stay up late into the night and sing songs while playing the guitar.  Oh, and we also like to write funny messages on her dry-erase board that hangs outside her door.  Overall she's ok though.

I'm exhausted so I think I'm gonna crash.  So good morrow everyone I hope life is treating you fine!

~the moon is brilliant in the starlight and banana's are eating my monkeys~

by the way I'm the girl on the right!  The hott blonde!  I know I look small.
